Course Content

In this session, we are going to explore the definition of resilience and how it links to healthy boundaries. That is the ability to set limits with others, to say no without feeling guilty and to have assertion skills in dealing with difficult situations.

We will discuss the steps to develop resilience and link it also to healthy thinking patterns. Finally, we will examine burnout in nursing, how it presents and how risk factors predispose us to burnout. We will also address strategies we can put in place to develop resilience and avoid or manage burnout.

This webinar is from the perspective of a Registered Nurse who is a Registered Counsellor with experience in nursing burnout and boundary work. The content is vital knowledge for all of us as we face the unique challenges around us currently. Not only for our own self-development but to have the knowledge and skills to provide support to our families, friends and colleagues as well.
