Course Content

A pleasurable dining experience plays a crucial role in promoting the health, overall wellness, and life satisfaction of elderly Australians residing in aged care facilities.

Individuals who derive satisfaction from their dining experience are inclined to consume food and beverages more effectively, thereby mitigating the potential for malnutrition, dehydration, and unintended weight loss.

In this webinar we will explore the presentation provided by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission that outlines the requirements of Aged Care Providers to meet the expectations of the clients, the Community, and the Commission.

The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission has established a new Food, Nutrition and Dining Advisory Support Unit and hotline to help providers improve the delivery of higher quality and more nutritious meals to people in aged care in a way that works for them.

The contact details for the Unit are available at the Commissions website.
