Course Content

As clinicians, we are often very focused on achieving good outcomes for our patients. Wound healing is not always a straightforward journey with a positive ending.

Do you really focus on the person living with a challenging wound? Or are you just focused on achieving outcomes and getting to the end of the journey? What impact does a wound have on a person? How do we optimise their wellbeing living with a non-healing wound and what are the barriers to this? Have you ever considered everyday life with a wound - showering, walking, pain, leaking dressings? Does wellbeing impact healing outcomes?
A wound is more than a "hole in the person" - it is more about "the whole person".

This webinar is the second part of two that explores the challenges of living with a non-healing wound and person-centred care. We will explore the patient experience and relate this to wound management planning and overcoming challenges that may affect the wellbeing of a person living with a non-healing wound.
