The webinar will begin by defining trauma and exploring its various forms, including interpersonal violence, natural disasters, and adverse childhood experiences. Participants will gain insights into the prevalence and long-term effects of trauma, emphasizing the importance of adopting a trauma-informed approach in all professional settings.

The principles of trauma informed care - safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment in creating a trauma-informed environment will be discussed. Attendees will learn how to integrate these principles into their practices, fostering resilience and promoting healing for individuals who have experienced trauma.

The webinar will also address the role of self-care and vicarious trauma in the lives of professionals working with trauma survivors.
