In this session, we are going to explore a variety of uncommon respiratory disorders which may be life-threatening including silicosis, psittacosis and COVID 19.

Course Content

In this session, we are going to explore the significance of advanced respiratory assessment by the Registered Nurse /Paramedic.

We will examine the chest landmarks and demonstrate the auscultation technique. The general respiratory assessment of a deteriorating patient with respiratory compromise will be explained.

In this session you will:
  • Outline the anatomy of the lung fields, examining the lobes and landmarks for auscultation
  • Explain the auscultation technique
  • Discuss the general respiratory assessment of a deteriorating patient with respiratory compromise
