Maintaining a Healthy Bowel Function in the Older Person

Ageing impacts the bowel in many ways resulting in the loss of quality of life and functional capacity.

Reduced muscle tone, neurological disorders, multi-pharmacology, cancer plus other bowel disorders, require careful management and treatment to reduce the risk of adverse events.

Constipation and diarrhoea can be more commonplace with the ageing bowel, however management without consideration of previous bowel conditions can impact further on quality of life.

This Webinar will discuss the ageing bowel, management of constipation and diarrhoea (both pharmacological and non-pharmacological), restoring a healthy bowel function, and restoring healthy gut bacteria.
