Palliative wound management is challenging and can be very difficult to meet patient needs. It differs from managing chronic wounds as we are looking at managing symptoms not trying to address causes to improve healing outcomes.

There are a variety of palliative wounds from small lesions to complex fungating tumours each of which brings different challenges.

This webinar explores the difference between palliative wound management to general wound care. It explores ways of managing wound symptoms and some of the dressing products that can be applied to facilitate this.

It will also look at taking a patient-centred approach to palliative wound management to meet individual needs and achieve the best outcomes.
