“How to meet your obligations under the National Law”

A registered Nurse, and enrolled Nurse, or a midwife who publishes anti-vaccination material and/or advice which is false, misleading, or deceptive (including via social media) may be prosecuted by AHPRA as the published content may constitute a summary offence under the National Law.
In this session we will explore the obligation of Nurses and Midwives under the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) guidelines.

Course Content

Social Media can be fun to use and a great way to keep in contact with family and friends. However a number of Nurses and Midwives are reported to the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia for failure to abide by their professional and legal obligations as a Nurse or Midwife.

A registered Nurse, and enrolled Nurse, or a midwife who publishes anti-vaccination material and/or advice which is false, misleading, or deceptive (including via social media) may be prosecuted by AHPRA as the published content may constitute a summary offence under the National Law.

In this session we will explore the obligation of Nurses and Midwives under the Nurses and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) guidelines.
